I have purchased many Epson products & am a great fan but this scanner was impossible. Even after talking to Support I could not get it to work. My computer would not even recognize it when it was plugged in directly. I gave up & returned the scanner.

The DS-560 is a fantastic small footprint single pass double sided color scanner. Combine with collection of Epson software and Adobe Read DC forms can be scanned and completed electronically. The software allow the documents to be stored locally or in one of your favorite clouds.
We packed the DS-560 back in its box to take to events to process registration forms or business cards. I used the battery of a UPS to power it for 10 minutes at a Boy Scout event where no AC power was available.
USB and WiFi b/g/n connectivity. I hope next generation does 5ghz too.

Nice, compact but powerful scanner. Set-up is easy on a Mac, connecting to wifi network was easy too. And if that doesn't work, there is the usb cable option. I have a small home office and so space is really limited but this is nice and compact. You can fold some of the parts when not in use to save more space. Scanning is clear, in color, and the image looks pretty good. Scanning is fast and smooth. It scans double-sided in one run so you don't have to flip the sheets.

Color Enhance
Color Enhance allows users to select and enhance a color from the RGB color channels when scanning in black-and-white. This can help bring out a particular element that might not otherwise show up clearly in a black-and-white scan, such as a signature made with a light-blue pen. -
Color Dropout
Color Dropout allows users to remove a color from the RGB color channels — a color that might cause noise or other image issues during a document scan. For example, a user scanning an invoice printed on pink paper could use “Color Dropout: Red” to ignore all red elements and pull out the crisp black text.
